Background - The KidsDrum journey started by trying to get our own kids to appreciate the art of music and relevance of rhythm in all aspects of life. From a primitive form of communication used by cavemen beating on bark of trees, drumming has evolved to being an integral part of musical elements today laying down time and being a platform for other instruments to build on. At KidsDrum we provide students an appreciation of all these elements and more as they begin their musical endeavors. We are proud our students have gone on to complete programs from Berklee College of Music and performed at world class events like, WGI World Championship & San Jose Youth Symphony 

Teaching Philosophy - There have been plenty of articles highlighting child developmental advantages using the drums. At KidsDrum we focus on using drums as a powerful tool to develop Social, Communication, Emotional and Cognitive skills to engage and activate excitement and fun for our students. We focus on building discipline of practice to remember, explore and apply concepts learned via individual learning plans. Finally we provide a avenue for our student to showcase their talent at various public shows and studio recording sessions while often helping them setup their own bands to continue their journey forward. Curriculum - Our teaching content originates from important drum books like Stick Control, Syncopation to Bass Drum Control and more. For Rudiments we follows the PASIC standards and finally a set of E-books for each level created by our founder through the many drum lessons he has had with world renowned drummers over the years. All reference content is curated to be delivered digitally during Zoom classes and we use online tools to track and log offline practice and progress
